Who can use the elearning?

This elearning site is intended for those working with children and young people in Gateshead.

What does the elearning course cover?

The course contents are:

  • Overview of children’s trust arrangements
  • Information Sharing and ContactPoint
  • Common Assessment Framework, Lead Practitioner and Team Around the Family
  • Safeguarding Children
  • Solution Finder Service Directory
  • Children's Centres and Extended Schools

How do I register to use the course?

Please complete the spreadsheet and send it to change4children@gateshead.gov.uk to register to use the course. You will be provided with a username and password. This spreadsheet will also allow you to register a full group of staff if you would prefer. Each member of staff would be sent a username and password separately.

How do I log in to the course?

Once you have a user name and password, please click on the link to the left to login to the e-learning.

It is required that the Windows PC used to access the e-learning meets the following requirements: -
The following web browsers are supported for use on your computer: -

  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 or later
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 with Service Pack 1 or later is recommended

The following Internet Explorer security settings must be enabled: -

  • Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins
  • Script ActiveX controls marked safe for scripting
  • Submit non-encrypted form data
  • Active Scripting

Any popup blockers that may be installed on your computer should be set to allow popups from this website or disabled.
